Pam
Needs a Break – as PIO and D-6 Training Officer. Dutch has asked Paul Garvey,
KØBLM, to assume the duties of Training Officer.
Field
Day June 25/26 – Dutch
pointed out FD and Bailey Day, as well as our club meeting
conflict on the same
day (June 25). Consensus was
strong we be involved in the Bailey walk/race, but providing a booth that
day was questioned. Dolores
urged we make our
involvement at the walk/race
with posters/signs. Another suggested
we obtain TEE shirts or vests with appropriate lettering.
(ARRL web offers some possibilities).
Adjournment
– Mike (M), Dolores H. (S) moved to adjourn. Passed at 3:02 p.m.

WØELF wanted a break from the Training officer position, so I asked Paul
Garvey to take it over and he agreed. Paul is also a member of D 23 and 285
wildcats with a long list of training courses to his credit. Please give Paul
your cooperation and sign up for various training that are posted.
I
want to thank Pam For Her efforts and hard work for the benefit of D 6.
I
did not get any more comments on the by-laws. The next step is to get with Pat
Roberts on the latest revision of the by-laws, before we send it out to the D
6 membership and I will also have to find how we stand with IRS 501/c/3
application.
We
discussed the meetings that some of us had with Lori Hodges, the Emergency
Management Director for Park County and the presentation that was given to the
BOCC about ARES and Packet.
The
D-6 brochure is still a work in progress.
March
29, four of us will be having a meeting with Lori, then the Emergency Service
Council meeting. After lunch, we will be attending a I 402 class.
At
the ARES general meeting after the PCRC meeting, Sharon NØDSV suggested that
we purchase vests, so that we can be identified as radio communication people.
I think this is a good idea. I have been told, that at several public service
events, they did not know who we
were and they did not know we were even around. The vests are $12.95 each and
Sharon found the url for the supplier. https://www.barkerspecialty.com/arrlnew/default.asp?action=showme+showme=18+custid=ARRL23366
